About the privacy statement

Rush to Mecca B.V. cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (the improvement of) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.This privacy statement applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Rush to Mecca B.V. that are accessible on this website. The effective date for the validity of this declaration is 20 July 2020.

With the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy statement describes what information about you is collected by us, what this information is used for and with whom and under what conditions it may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us.

General purpose of processing

We use your data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the order you provide. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time other than at your request, we ask your explicit consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy on the basis of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data that are collected automatically are processed with the aim of further improving our service. This includes metadata such as your IP address, web browser version and operating system.

Cooperation in tax and criminal investigations

Where applicable, Rush to Mecca B.V. may be required by law to share your data in connection with any governmental tax or criminal investigation. In such a case we are obliged to share your data.

Storage periods

We keep your data as long as you are our customer. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also take this as a forgetful request. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices containing your (personal) data. We will therefore retain this information for as long as the applicable term runs. Employees, however, no longer have access to your customer profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your order.

Your rights

Pursuant to current Dutch and European legislation, you, as a data subject, have certain rights with respect to the personal data processed by us or on our behalf. We explain below which rights these are and how you can invoke these rights. In principle, in order to prevent misuse, we will only send copies and copies of your data to your e-mail address already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at a different e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself.

We keep records of completed requests. In the case of a forgetful request, we keep anonymised data. You will receive all statements and copies of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems.

You can make a request to that effect to our privacy working group. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all the data with an overview of the processors that hold these data, stating the category under which we have stored these data, at the e-mail address known to us.

Right of rectification

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relate to your person or that can be traced back to you, modified at any time. You can make a request to that effect to our privacy working group. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been adjusted at the e-mail address we have on file.

Right to restrict processing

You always have the right to limit the data that we process (or have processed) relating to your person or that can be traced back to you. You can make a request to that effect to our privacy working group. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to transferability

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relate to your person or that can be traced back to you, executed by another party. You can make a request to that effect to our privacy working group. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties at the e-mail address known to us. In all probability, we will no longer be able to continue to provide the service in such a case because the secure linking of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.

Right of objection and other rights

If necessary, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Rush to Mecca B.V. If you object, we will immediately stop the data processing pending the settlement of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make copies and/or copies of the data that we process (or have processed) available to you and discontinue the processing on a permanent basis thereafter.

Changes to the privacy statement

We reserve the right to change our privacy statement at any time. However, you will always find the most recent version on this page. If the new privacy statement has consequences for the way in which we process data already collected with respect to you, we will inform you of this by e-mail.

About the data processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store them (or have them stored), what security techniques we use and for whom the data is transparent.

Webshop software Woocommerce

Our webshop is developed with software from Woocommerce. Personal data that you make available to us for our services may be shared with this party. Woocommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support. They will never use your data for any other purpose.

Web hosting via Combell

We purchase web hosting and e-mail services from Combell.

Combell processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party can collect metadata about the use of the services. These are not personal data. TransIP has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. Combell is obliged to maintain confidentiality pursuant to the agreement.

Google Analytics

To analyze the use of our website, we use Google Analytics. This software captures the following metadata: IP address, Browser version, Operating system & Website usage. For more information about Google’s privacy policy, please visit http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. The following tool: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on – https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout – can be installed on your web browser. Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on allows visitors to prevent their data from being collected and used by Google Analytics. This data is stored for 38 months.

Marketing Google

For analysis purposes and targeted display of ads on Google, Google Display network and Youtube we use the Google AdWords remarketing service. This places a cookie on your computer. During your visit to our website, a user profile is created.

Google AdWords remarketing service is provided by Google Inc. You can opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings page: http://www.google.com/settings/ads.

Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or to the extent that third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States for 18 months.

Facebook & instagram

For analysis purposes and targeted display ads on Facebook & instagram we use the Facebook pixel. This places a cookie on your computer. During your visit to our website, a user profile is created.

Facebook & Instagram may provide this information to third parties if Facebook & Instagram is legally obliged to do so, or if third parties process the information on behalf of Facebook & Instagram. The information is transferred to and stored by Facebook & Instagram on servers in the United States for an indefinite period of time.

Win promotions

Win promotions and Facebook & Instagram we do not collect any data other than the above. By responding to the win promotion, the entrant agrees that we will publish the name of the winner on our Facebook companies page. We also ask the winner’s address information for the sole purpose of sending the prize won. For more information see: ‘Shipping and Logistics’.

Payment processors Mollie

To process the payments in our webshop we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes the following data: Name, Address, Location details and Payment details such as your bank account or credit card number.

Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share (anonymised) data with third parties in this context.

All of the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted by law. Personal data relating to purchases are kept by Mollie for five years.

Shipping and logistics

Post NL, DPD & DHL

If you place an order with us it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL, DPD & DHL to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share the following personal data with PostNL, DPD & DHL: Name, Address & Location details. PostNL, DPD & DHL uses these data exclusively for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that PostNL, DPD & DHL engages subcontractors, PostNL, DPD & DHL will also make your data available to these parties.

Resellers

If you place an order on the website of Rush to Mecca B.V. and make use of one of the offered resellers, you agree that we will share the following personal data with the chosen reseller: Name, Address & Location details

Our resellers use this data exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling the contract.
